REDUCING, REUSING AND RECYCLING PAPER @ THE COLLEGE

We aim to reduce the throughput of paper at the college. We will be aiming to source paper from 100% recycled sources. Our intention is to work towards 100% reuse and recycling of paper.

The following are basic methods will be used at the college to develop in this area;

  • Back to back photocopying / printing
  • Paper recycling boxes in all classrooms / offices
  • Central collection point for recyclable paper
  • Revenue generated used to extend recycling
  • Extended use of internal email to reduce printing
  • Extended use of external email to parents to reduce printing/copying and posting costs

Please can any parents working in the paper supply or recycling industry who feel they could help or advise us- please contact Mr A Rumsby at the college.

We are now recycling large quantities of paper in a large collection container sponsored by Antibi Paper Retreiver Scheme and supported by B&Q.

Another aspect to this initiative is to reduce the amount of ‘junk mail’ received by the college. We will be removing the college from mailing lists to reduce the amount of junk mail/faxes received.
